Change Properties/Remove Chart Elements

You can remove any chart element (a line, a Fibonacci, pivot levels, an indicator and a label) or a price overlay, or change its properties from the Chart Elements dialog.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the toolbar, click the Chart Elements button.
    • In the Chart menu, click Chart Elements.
    • Right-click in the chart. In the menu, point to Chart Elements and then click Chart Elements.
    • Press CTRL + E.
      * In the FX Trading Station, the command is also available in the Charts menu, in the Chart sub-menu.

    The Chart Elements dialog will appear.

  2. Do the following:
    • To change the properties of a chart element, click the name of the chart element, and then click Properties.
    • To remove a chart element, click the name of the chart element and then click Remove.

Eraser Tool

To remove chart elements or price overlays:

  1. Select the Eraser tool in one of the following ways:
    • On the toolbar, click the Eraser button.
    • In the Chart menu, click Eraser.
    • Press E.
      * In the FX Trading Station, the tool can be also accessed in the Charts menu, in the Chart sub-menu.
  2. Click each chart element or price overlay you wish to remove.

Notes:

  • You can use the Eraser tool until tools timeout expires. To change tools timeout, see General Options.
  • To deselect the Eraser tool, do the same actions as for selecting the tool or one of the following:
    1. Right-click in the chart.
    2. Press ESC.

Remove All Chart Elements

To remove all chart elements from the chart area and additional areas, do one of the following:

  • In the Chart menu, click Remove All Elements.
  • Press CTRL + ALT + R.
    * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the Chart sub-menu.

To remove all chart elements from the chart area or an additional area:

  • Right-click in the area. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Elements and then click Remove All Elements.

To remove an additional area:

  • Right-click in the area, in the pop-up menu, click Remove Area.
