Add Horizontal Line
To add a horizontal line to a chart:
- Select the Horizontal Line tool in one of the following ways:
- On the toolbar, click the Add Line arrow
and then click Add Horizontal Line. - In the Insert menu, point to Lines and then click Add Horizontal Line.
- Right-click in the price values. In the pop-up menu, click Add Horizontal Line.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Elements and then click Add Horizontal Line.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also select the tool in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Insert, point to Lines and then click Add Horizontal Line.
- On the toolbar, click the Add Line arrow
- Click in the price level on the chart which a horizontal line will go along. The Add Horizontal Line dialog will appear.

- Change the line parameters in the Parameters tab if necessary:
- To change the name, in the Name box, type the new name.
Note: To reset the line name to default, click the Reset button.
- To change the price level which the horizontal line goes along, in the Rate box, select or type the desired price level.
- To change the line style, in the appropriate boxes, click the desired color, style and width.
- To change the name, in the Name box, type the new name.
- Change the parameters of the line tag in the Tag tab if necessary:

- To show the tag indicating the price level on the price axis, select the Show tag on price axis checkbox. Otherwise, clear the checkbox.
- To change the color of text in the tag, in the Text Color box, click the desired color.
- To select the color of text in the tag automatically, select the Select text color automatically checkbox. Otherwise, clear the checkbox.
Notes:
- To apply the changed properties (except the name) to all further horizontal lines by default, click Set as Default.
- To reset factory settings for the line, click the Reset button.
- Click OK.
Notes:
- You can use the Horizontal tool until tools timeout expires. To change tools timeout, see General Options.
- To deselect the Horizontal Line tool, do the same actions as for selecting the tool or one of the following:
- Right-click in the chart.
- Press ESC.
Change Horizontal Line Properties
To change the properties of a horizontal line:
- Do one of the following:
- Double-click the line.
- Right-click the line. In the pop-up menu, click Change Horizontal Line ‘Name’ where Name is the name of the horizontal line.
- See Change Properties/Remove Chart Elements.
The Horizontal Line Properties dialog will appear.

- Change the line parameters in the Parameters tab:
- To change the name, in the Name box, type the new name.

Move Horizontal Line
To move a horizontal line:
- Drag the line to the desired price level.
You can move a horizontal line changing the price level which the line goes along. For details, see Change Horizontal Line Properties.
Remove Horizontal Line
To remove a horizontal line:
- Right-click the line. In the pop-up menu click Remove Horizontal Line ‘Name’ where Name is the name of the horizontal line.
- Click the line and press DELETE.
