File

The File menu contains commands for file operations and printing.

In the menu the following commands are available:

  • Create MarketShot – create a MarketShot. For details, see Create MarketShot.
  • File – perform file operations. The command opens the sub-menu.

    In the sub-menu, the following commands are available:

    • Open File – open a saved chart template or snapshot.
    • Save Chart As – save a chart template or snapshot, or save chart data as Indicore SDK data. For details, see Chart Template Operations, Chart Snapshot Operations and Save Data for Indicore SDK.
    • Open Layout – open a saved chart layout.
    • Save Layout As – save a chart layout. For details, see Chart Layout Operations.
    • Export – export the MarketShot data to an external format. The command opens the sub-menu. The sub-menu contains the command for exporting the MarketShot data to the Excel format – Export to Excel.

  • Print Preview – preview the chart before printing it.
  • Print – print the chart in a specified range of pages and number of copies.
  • Page Setup – setup general page settings – page size and orientation, printing device, etc. For details, see Print Chart.
  • Options – change the options for the chart. For details, see Chart Options.

Chart

The Chart menu contains commands for managing the chart.

In the menu, the following commands are available.

  • Chart Mode – change the chart mode. The command opens the sub-menu.

    In the sub-menu, the following commands are available:

    • Line – change the chart mode to the line mode.
    • Bar – change the chart mode to the bar mode.
    • Candlestick – change the chart mode to the candlestick mode.
    • Table – change the chart mode to the table mode. For details, see Change Chart Mode.
  • Zoom – change the scaling of the chart. The command opens the sub-menu for fitting and zooming.

    In the sub-menu, the following commands are available:

    • Fit Entire Chart – scale the chart so that the chart could fit into the viewing area (both vertically and horizontally).
    • Fit Chart Vertically – scale the price axis so that all prices of the currently displayed periods become visible.
    • Fit Chart Horizontally – scale the time axis so that all periods of the MarketShot become visible. For details, see Fitting.
    • Autoscale Chart Vertically – scale the price axis so that when a chart is scrolled, all prices for the displayed periods are visible. For details, see Scaling.
    • Zoom In – display less periods.
    • Zoom Out – display more periods.
    • Zoom In by Mouse – zoom in periods selected by mouse. For details, see Scaling.
  • Lock View – enable/disable the automatic scrolling to the latest data.
  • Scroll to End – scroll the chart to view the last period of the MarketShot. For details, see Scrolling.
  • Show Grid – show/hide the grid. For more ways to show/hide grid, see Show/Hide Grid.
  • Show Cursor Data – show/hide the cursor data. For details, see Show/Hide Cursor Data.
  • Update – update the prices. For more way to update the prices, see Update Prices.
  • Chart Elements – change the properties of chart elements or remove chart elements from the chart. For details, see Change Properties/Remove Chart Elements.
  • Eraser – remove chart elements from the chart. For details, see Eraser Tool.
  • Remove All Elements – remove all chart elements from the chart. For details, see Remove All Chart Elements.
  • Manage Custom Indicators – add, replace or remove your own indicators in the indicators list. For details, see Manage Custom Indicators.
  • Indicators Error Log – show indicators error log. For details, see Manage Custom Indicators.

Insert

The Insert menu contains commands for adding chart elements.

In the menu the following commands are available:

  • Add Indicator – add an indicator to the chart. For details, see Add Indicator.
  • Price Overlay – overlay the chart of another symbol on the chart area or show it in the area under the chart area. For details, see&nbsp Price Overlaying.
  • Add Fibonacci – add a Fibonacci to the chart. For details, see Add Fibonacci.
  • Lines – add a line of a selected kind to the chart. The command opens the submenu.

    In the sub-menu, the following commands are available:

    • Add Line – add a line to the chart. For details, see Add Line.
    • Add Line on Open – add a line on open prices.
    • Add Line on Close – add a line on close prices.
    • Add Line on High – add a line on high prices.
    • Add Line on Low – add a line on low prices. For details, see Add Line on OHLC.
    • Add Horizontal Line – add a horizontal line to the chart. For details, see Add Horizontal Line.
    • Add Vertical Line – add a vertical line to the chart. For details, see Add Vertical Line.
  • Pivot – add selected pivot levels to the chart. The command opens the sub-menu.

    In the sub-menu, the following commands are available:

  • Add Label- add a label to the chart. For details, see Text Label.

Trading

The Trading menu contains commands for trading from the chart.

In the menu the following commands are available:

  • Create Entry Order – create an entry order. For details, see Create Entry Order.
  • Create Market Order – create a market order. For details, see Open Position.
  • Show Open Positions – show/hide open positions on the chart.
  • Show Entry Orders – show/hide entry orders on the chart.
  • Open Position Settings – change the settings for open positions. For details, see Open Position Settings.
  • Entry Order Settings – change the setting for entry orders. For details, see Entry Order Settings.

Price Alerts

The Price Alerts menu contains commands for managing price alerts.

In the menu the following commands are available:

  • Add Price Alert – add a price alert to a chart. For details, see Add Price Alert.
  • Manage Price Alerts – add, change or remove existing price alerts. For details, see Manage Price Alerts.
  • Show Activated Price Alerts – show/hide the list of activated price alerts. For details, see Show/Hide Activated Price Alerts.
  • Stop Sound – stops the current playing of a sound when the notification (or one of the notifications) is a sound. For details, see Stop Sound.

Help

The Help menu contains the command for displaying Marketscope 2.0 Help.
