Create MarketShot Dialog

  • Symbol: displays the symbol the price history of which will be shown on the chart.
  • Period: displays the period on the basis of which the price history will be charted (for example, tick, monthly, daily).
  • Date from: displays the starting date and time of the time interval the price history of which will be shown on the chart.
  • Date to: displays the ending date and time of the time interval the price history of which will be shown on the chart.
  • Open within Trading Station: if the checkbox is selected, the chart will be opened within the Trading Station; if the checkbox is clear, the chart will be opened in Marketscope 2.0.

Open Position Settings Dialog

The dialog displays the list of open positions. If the checkbox of a position is selected, the position is currently shown on the chart; otherwise, the position is hidden.

  • Show net long position: if the checkbox is selected, the net long position is currently shown on the chart; otherwise, the net position is hidden.
  • Show net short position: if the checkbox is selected, the net long position is currently shown on the chart; otherwise, the net position is hidden.

Entry Order Settings Dialog

The dialog displays the list of entry orders. If the checkbox of an entry order is selected, the order is currently shown on the chart; otherwise, the order is hidden.

Price Overlay Dialog

Symbol Tab

  • The table displays the list of currently subscribed symbols prices of which can be overlaid on the current chart.
  • Overlay on current price: if the option is clicked, the price overlay will be displayed on the current chart.
  • Display in separate area below current price: if the option is clicked, the price overlay will be displayed in a separate area below the current chart.

Parameters Tab

  • Show legend: if the checkbox is selected, the legend of the price overlay will be displayed. Otherwise, there will be no legend.
  • The next box displays the color of the legend.
  • Price: displays prices which will be displayed by the price overlay – Open, High, Low or Close, and Bid or Ask.
  • For the price overlaid on the chart:

  • Show label: if the checkbox is selected, the label of the price overlay will be displayed. Otherwise, the label will be hidden.
  • Line Style: displays the price line style and color.
  • For the price overlay displayed in a separate area below a line chart:

  • Bid Line Color: displays the color of the bid line.
  • Ask Line Color: displays the color of the ask line.
  • Low Line Color: displays the color of the low line.
  • High Line Color: displays the color of the high line.

Price Overlay Properties Dialog

Parameters Tab

  • Show legend: if the checkbox is selected, the legend of the price overlay is currently displayed. Otherwise, there is no legend.
  • The next box displays the current color of the legend.
  • Price: displays prices which are currently displayed by the price overlay – Open, High, Low or Close, and Bid or Ask.
  • For the price overlaid on the chart:

  • Show label: if the checkbox is selected, the label of the price overlay is currently displayed. Otherwise, the label is hidden.
  • Line Style: displays the current price line style and color.
  • For the price overlay displayed in a separate area below a line chart:

  • Bid Line Color: displays the current color of the bid line.
  • Ask Line Color: displays the current color of the ask line.
  • Low Line Color: displays the current color of the low line.
  • High Line Color: displays the current color of the high line.

Add Price Alert Dialog

Main Tab

  • Name: displays the current name of the price alert, the name is specified by the trader and is optional.
  • Symbol: displays the symbol for which the price alert is created.
  • Bid or Ask: the selected option displays the price for which the price alert is created.
  • The condition for the price alert – the sign and the price value – is displayed.
  • Real time or Close price for some period: the selected option displays the type of price for the price alert.
  • Enabled: if the checkbox is selected, the price alert is enabled; otherwise, the price alert is disabled.

Notification Tab

  • Show message: if the checkbox is selected, a message will be displayed when the price alert is activated; otherwise, no message will be displayed.
  • Send e-mail: if the checkbox is selected, an e-mail will be sent to the specified address when the price alert is activated; otherwise, no e-mail will be sent.
  • E-mail address: displays the e-mail address to which a notification e-mail will be sent when the price alert is activated.
    Note: The e-mail notification can be not available. In this case Send e-mail and E-mail address are hidden.
  • Play sound: if the checkbox is selected, a sound is played when the price alert is activated; otherwise no sound is played. The sound can be selected from the list or a sound file from your computer can be specified.
  • Loop: if the checkbox is selected, the selected sound is played repeatedly until it is stopped; otherwise, the sound is played once with the frequency specified further.
  • Recurrent: if the checkbox is selected, the alert can be activated more than once but after a certain time interval. Otheriwise, the alert can be activated only once.
  • Timeout: displays the time interval in hours, minutes and seconds after which the alert can be activated again.

Price Alert Properties Dialog

Main Tab

  • Name: displays the current name of the price alert, the name is specified by the trader and is optional.
  • Symbol: displays the symbol for which the price alert is created.
  • Bid or Ask: the selected option displays the price for which the price alert is created.

List of Price Alerts Dialog

The dialog displays the list of existing price alerts and allows adding new alerts, changing and removing the existing ones.

  • If the checkbox of the symbol box is selected, only alerts for the selected symbol are displayed; otherwise, all existing alerts are shown.
  • If the checkbox of the price type box is selected, only alerts for the selected price type are displayed; otherwise, all existing alerts are shown.
  • The icon displays the current state of the price alert (enabled, disabled, activated).
  • Symbol: displays the symbol for which the price alert is created.
  • Condition: displays the current condition of the price alert.
  • Name: displays the current name of the price alert.
  • Counter: displays the number of times the price alert has been already activated and, in brackets, the number of times it can be activated and then disabled.
  • Change: if the button is clicked, the selected price alert can be changed.
  • Add: if the button is clicked, a new price alert can be added.
  • Delete: if the button is clicked, the selected price alert is removed.

Parameters Tab

  • Remove: if the button is clicked, a selected chart element will be removed.
  • Properties: if the button is clicked, the properties of a selected chart element can be changed.

Add Indicator Dialog

Indicator Tab

The tab displays the list of indicators which can be selected to be shown on the chart.

  • Sort in default order: if the button is clicked, the indicators in the list are displayed in the default order.
  • Manage Custom Indicators: if the button is clicked, you can add, change or remove custom indicators from the list.
  • Name: displays the name of the indicator. Indicators can be sorted by name by clicking the column header.
  • Decription: displays the description of the indicator. Indicators can be sorted by description by clicking the column header.
  • Type: displays the type of the indicator – Indicator or Oscillator. Indicators can be sorted by type by clicking the column header. Three last selected indicators are displayed in italics.

Data Sourse Tab

The tab displays the list of data which can be used to calculate the selected indicator.

Location Tab

The tab displays possible locations of the indicator:

  • Show indicator/oscillator in a new area below the following areas: if the checkbox is selected, the indicator will be displayed in a new area below the areas listed in the following table. Otherwise, an area must be selected.
  • The table below lists all possible areas on which the indicator can be located.

Parameters Tab

  • Name: displays the name of the indicator; the name is shown in the label.
  • The table below lists other parameters of the indicator (the set of parameters is defined by the selected indicator.)
  • Show label: if the checkbox is selected, the indicator label will be shown on the chart; otherwise, the label will be hidden.
  • Show legend: if the checkbox is selected, the indicator legend will be shown on the chart; otherwise, the legend will be hidden.

Lines Tab

The tab displays the colors of the indicator lines. The set of lines is defined by the selected indicator.

Data Sourse Tab

The tab displays the data which are currently used to calculate the selected indicator.

Location Tab

The tab displays the current location of the indicator:

  • Show indicator/oscillator in a new area below the following areas: if the checkbox is selected, the indicator is currently displayed in a new area below the areas listed in the following table. Otherwise, an area must be selected.
  • The table below lists all possible areas on which the indicator can be located.

Manage Custom Indicators Dialog

The dialog displays the custom indicators added to the list of indicators.

  • Name: displays the name of the custom indicator.
  • Description: displays the description of the custom indicator.
  • Type: displays the type of the custom indicator.
  • Load: if the button is clicked, new custom indicators can be added to the list and existing indicators can be replaced.
  • Remove: if the button is clicked, the selected custom indicator is removed from the list.

Confirmation Dialog

The dialog displays the results of the loading operation – replacements, which require confirmation, and failed replacements and addings of custom indicators.

  • If the checkbox of an indicator file is selected, the chosen operation will be performed with the indicator. Otherwise, the operation will be cancelled.
  • File: displays the name of the file of the custom indicator.
  • Result: displays the result of the action performed with the indicator – the indicator added or replaced.
  • Comments: displays the comments about errors which ocurred during the loading of the indicator if there are any.
  • OK: if the button is clicked, the selected indicators are replaced.
  • Cancel: if the button is clicked, the selected indicators are not replaced.

Indicators Error Log

The log displays the list of errors in custom and standard indicators which occured during loading of the trading station, chart templates, snapshots and layouts and during calculation of indicators for new prices.

  • Time: displays the date and time when the error occured.
  • Description: displays the details of the error.
