FX Trading Station

General Chart Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click General Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To show the Confirm Saving dialog when you close a chart which contains new or changed elements, click Show Confirm Saving dialog and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To save a changed chart when you close a chart which contains new or changed elements, set the Show Confirm Saving dialog option to No, then click Save chart on closing and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No (in this case the chart will be closed without offering you to save changes).
4. Click OK.

Chart View Options

General Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Chart View Options.

   

3. Change the options for the main colors of the chart:
   • To change the background color, click Background color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the text font, click Text font and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color, click Text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the color of the axes, click Axis color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Change the separator scale options:
   • To show the separator scale, click Show separator scale and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of the separator scale pointers, click Separator pointer color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
5. Change the grid options:
   • To show the grid by default, click Show grid and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of the grid, click Grid color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
6. Change the crosshair options:
   • To enable the dynamic crosshair, click Enable dynamic crosshair and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of the crosshair, click Crosshair color and then from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the color of text in the crosshair tags on the axes, click Axis tag text color and then from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the background color of the crosshair tags on the axes, click Axis tag background color and then from the Color palette, choose the color.
7. Change the tools timeout:
   • To change the time after which a tool is automatically deselected, click Tools timeout and then type the timeout (in seconds).
8. Turn on/off position/order highlighting:
   • To show the position or order you point to and hide all other orders and positions, click Highlight order/position under mouse pointer and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
9. Click OK.

Line Mode Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Chart View Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the color of the bid line, click Bid line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the color of the ask line, click Ask line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To show the high line by default, click Show high line and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of the high line, click High line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To show the low line by default, click Show low line and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of the low line, click Low line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Click OK.

Bar Mode Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Chart View Options.

   

3. To change the color of a bar, in the list of options, click Bar color. from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Click OK.

Candlestick Mode Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Chart View Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the color of an ascending candlestick, click Ascending candlestick color and then from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the color of a descending candlestick, click Descending candlestick color and then from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Click OK.

Label Options

To change the label options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Chart View Options.

   

3. Change the options for a text label:
   • To change the default text font, click Label text font and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the default text color, click Label text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default background color, click Label background color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Change the options for a label of a chart element:
   • To change the text color, click Element label text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the background color, click Element label background color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
5. Click OK.

Current Market Price Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Chart View Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To show the current market price by a tag (tags) on the price axis, click Show current market price and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of text in the tag, click Current market price tag text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To show a line which corresponds to the current market price, click Show current market price line and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of a current price line, click Current market price line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the style of a current market price line, click Current market price line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the width of a current price line, click Current market price line width and then type the width.
4. Click OK.

Table Mode Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Table Mode Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the background color of the table, click Background color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the font of records, click Font and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color of records, click Text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the background color of a selected row, click Selected row background color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the font of records in a selected row, click Selected row font and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color of records in a selected row, click Selected row text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Click OK.

Color Schemes

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Color Schemes.

   

3. Select the color scheme.
4. Click OK.

Cursor Data Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Cursor Data Options.

   

   • To change the background color, click Background color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the font of the left column, click Left column font and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color of the left column, click Left column text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the font of the right column, click Right column font and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color of the right column, click Right column text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
3. Click OK.

Fibonacci Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Fibonacci Options.

   

3. Change the options for Fibonacci lines:
   • To change the default color of the lines, click Fibonacci lines color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default width of the lines, click Fibonacci lines width and then type the width.
   • To change the default style of the lines, click Fibonacci lines style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To extend the lines to the left by default, click Extend Fibonacci lines start and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To extend the lines to the right by default, click Extend Fibonacci lines end and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To show a Fibonacci label by default, click Show label and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To indicate levels on the lines by default, click Show levels on lines and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To indicate prices on the lines by default, click Show prices on lines and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the text color of the level in the legend, click the Level label color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the text color of the price in the legend, click the Price label color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
4. Change the options for a Fibonacci trend line:
   • To change the default color of a trend line, click Trend line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default style of a trend line, click Trend line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the default width of a trend line, click Trend line width and then type the width.
   • To show a Fibonacci trend line by default, click Show trend line and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
5. Click OK.

Open Position Options

Position Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Open Position Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the color, click Open position line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the width after the opening mark, click Open position line width (after opening mark) and then type the width.
   • To change the style after the opening mark, click Open position line style (after opening mark) and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the width before the opening mark, click Open position line width (before opening mark) and then type the width.
   • To change the style before the opening mark, click Open position line style (before opening mark) and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To show a position line or marker by default, click Show open position and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Net Position Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Open Position Options.

   

3. Change the net long position line options:
   • To change the color, click Net long position line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the width, click Net long position line width and then type the width.
   • To change the style, click Net long position line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To show the net long position line or marker by default, click Show net long position and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Change the net short position line options:
   • To change the color, click Net short position line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the width, click Net short position line width and then type the width.
   • To change the style, click Net short position line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To show the net short position line or marker by default, click Show net short position and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
5. Click OK.

Entry Order Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Entry Order Options.

   

3. Change the options for the entry order line:
   • To change the color, click Entry order line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the width after the creation mark, click Entry order line width (after creation mark) and then type the width.
   • To change the style after the creation mark, click Entry order line style (after creation mark) and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the width before the creation mark, click Entry order line width (before creation mark) and then type the width.
   • To change the style before the creation mark, click Entry order line style (before creation mark) and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To show an entry order line or marker by default, click Show entry order and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Line Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Line Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the default style, click Line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the default width, click Line width and then type the width.
   • To change the default color, click Line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To extend a line from the start by default, click Extend line start and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To extend a line from the end by default, click Extend line end and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To show a line label by default, click Show line label and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Line on OHLC Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Line Options.

   

3. Change the options for a line on Open, High, Low or Close:
   • To change the default color, click the appropriate Line on Open (High, Low or Close) color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default style, click the appropriate Line on Open (High, Low or Close) style option and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the default width, click the appropriate Line on Open (High, Low or Close) width option and then type the width.
   • To extend a line from the start by default, click the appropriate Extend line on Open (High, Low or Close) start option and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To extend a line from the end by default, click the appropriate Extend line on Open (High, Low or Close) end option and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To show a line label by default, click the appropriate Show line on Open (High, Low or Close) label option and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Horizontal Line Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Line Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the default color, click Horizontal line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default style, click Horizontal line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the default width, click Horizontal line width and then type the width.
   • To show the tag indicating the price level on the price axis, click Show horizontal line tag and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the default color of text in the tag, click Horizontal line tag text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To select the text color of a horizontal line tag on the price axis automatically by default, click Select text color of horizontal line tag automatically and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Vertical Line Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Line Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the default color, click Vertical line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default style, click Vertical line style and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To change the default width, click Vertical line width and then type the width.
   • To show the tag indicating the price level on the price axis by default, click Show vertical line tag and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of text in the tag, click Vertical line tag text color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To select the text color of a vertical line tag on the time axis automatically by default, click Select text color of vertical line tag automatically and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Pivot Levels Options

To change the options for pivot levels:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Pivot Levels Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To change the default color of a pivot line, click the appropriate ‘Name’ pivot line color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default width of a pivot line, click the appropriate ‘Name’ pivot line width option and then type the width.
   • To change the default style of a pivot line, click the appropriate ‘Name’ pivot line style option and then click the arrow to select the style.
   • To show a pivot level by default, click the appropriate Show ‘Name’pivot line option and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To extend the pivot lines from the start point by default, click Extend pivot levels start and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To extend the pivot lines from the start point by default, click Extend pivot levels end and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.

Price Overlay Options

To change the options:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Price Overlay Options.

   

3. Change the common price overlay options:
   • To show a legend by default, click Show legend and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the default text color of a legend, click Legend color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To set whether bid or ask price will be displayed by a price overlay by default, click Bid/Ask and set the option to Askor Bid.
   • To change the price which will be displayed by a price overlay by default, click Price
4. Change the options for price overlaid on the chart:
   • To show a label by default, click Show label and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the default color of the price overlay line, click Line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default width of the price overlay line, click Line width and then type the width.
5. Change the options for a price overlay placed below the chart:

   For a line chart:

   • To change the default color of the bid line, click Bid line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default color of the ask line, click Ask line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default color of the low line, click Low line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default color of the high line, click High line color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.

   For a bar chart:

   • To change the default color of a bar, click Bar color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.

   For a candlestick chart:

   • To change the default color of an ascending candlestick, click Ascending candlestick color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the default color of a descending candlestick, click Descending candlestick color and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
6. Click OK.

Price Alerts Options

To change the options for price alerts:

1. Do one of the following:
   • In the File menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
   • Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
     * In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.

   The Options dialog will appear.

2. Click Price Alerts Options.

   

3. Change the options:
   • To show a price alert line on the chart, click the Show price alert option, and then set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
   • To change the color of a price alert line, click the Alert line color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the width of a price alert line, click the Alert line width option and then type the width.
   • To change the style of a price alert line, click the Alert line style option and then select the style.
   • To change the color of the line of an activated price alert, click the Activated alert line color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the width of the line of an activated price alert, click the Activated alert line width option and then type the width.
   • To change the style of the line of an activated price alert, click the Activated alert line style option and then select the style.
   • To change the font of records in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Activated alerts font option and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color of records in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Activated alerts window text color option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the highlighting background color in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Highlighting background color of activated alerts option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the font of highlighted records in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Highlighting font of activated alerts option and then, from the Font dialog, choose the font.
   • To change the text color of highlighted records in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Highlighting text color of activated alerts option and then, from the Color palette, choose the color.
   • To change the time an activated price alert is displayed in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Removal timeout option and then, type the time in seconds.
   • To change the time an activated price alert is highlighted in the Activated Price Alerts window, click the Highlighting timeout option and then type the time in seconds.
   • To show the Activated Price Alerts window when a price alert with the “Show message” notification is activated, click the Show activated price alerts option, and the set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
4. Click OK.
