Chart Management
Create MarketShot
A MarketShot is the price history of a particular symbol over a particular time interval to be displayed on a chart or in a table.
To create a MarketShot:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Create MarketShot.
- Press CTRL + N.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can click the Create MarketShot button on the toolbar.
The command is also available in the Charts menu.
The Create MarketShot dialog will appear.

- In the Symbol box, select the symbol.
- In the Period box, select or type the period. To type the period, do the following:
- Type the first letter of the time unit you want to use (m for minutes, h for hours and d for days).
- Type the number of time units.
Note: The number of time units must be a whole number from 1 to 40 for minutes, 1-36 for hours, and 1-20 for days. For example, to set a 2 minutes’ period, a 3 hours’ period or a 20 days’ period, you should type m2, h3 or d20 respectively.
- Set the time interval. You can set the time interval in one of the following ways:
- In the Date from and Date to boxes select the dates.
- Select the Date from and Date to checkboxes and then in the Date from and Date to boxes, select or type the dates and time.
Notes:
- If the Date from and Date to checkboxes are clear, 300 periods before the current period will be displayed on the chart.
- If the Date to checkbox is clear, all periods between Date from and the current period will be displayed on the chart. If the number of periods is more than 300, then 300 periods before the current period will be displayed.
- If the Date from checkbox is clear, 300 periods before Date to will be displayed on the chart.
- If the Date from and Date to checkboxes are selected, all periods between Date from and Date to will be displayed on the chart. If the number of periods is more than 300, then 300 periods before ‘Date to’ will be displayed.

If you want the chart to be displayed within the FX Trading Station, select the Open within Trading Station checkbox. Otherwise, the chart will be displayed in Marketscope 2.0.
Note: When a chart is displayed within the FX Trading Station, the chart can be viewed in a separate window. For details, see Detach/Attach Chart.
- Click OK to confirm your selections.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also open a chart for the selected symbol setting only the period. The other settings will be the same as for the previously created MarketShot.
To open a chart for the selected symbol:
- In the Charts menu, point to Open Chart and select the desired period.
Note: After you create a MarketShot, the whole MarketShot will be displayed on the chart. If you request additional data, only a part of the MarketShot will be displayed on the chart; the rest of the MarketShot can be accessed by means of scrolling and scaling. For details, see Chart Navigation.
Detach/Attach Chart
When a chart is opened in Marketscope, you can detach the chart to view it in a separate window.
To detach a chart from Marketscope, do one of the following:
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, click Detach.
- Point to the chart tab and drag the chart out of the Marketscope window.
- Point to the chart tab and drag the chart within the Marketscope window holding down CTRL.
To attach a chart to Marketscope , do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Attach.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, click Attach.
- Double-click the chart title bar.
A chart can be also attached to Marketscope by means of grouping and docking.
When a chart is opened within the FX Trading Station, you can also detach the chart to view it in a separate window.
To detach a chart from the Trading Station, do one of the following:
- In the Charts menu, click Detach.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, click Detach.
- Point to the chart tab and drag the chart out of the Trading Station window.
- Point to the chart tab and drag the chart within the Trading Station window holding down CTRL.
To attach a chart to the Trading Station, do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Attach.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, click Attach.
- Double-click the chart title bar.
A chart can be also attached to the Trading Station by means of grouping and docking.
Change Symbol
To change a symbol, on the toolbar, in the Symbol box
, do one of the following:
- Select the symbol from the list.

- Type the symbol and press ENTER.
Note: You may type the symbol without a slash (”/”), for example, eurusd.
Change Period
To change a period, on the toolbar, in the Period box
, do one of the following:
- Select the period from the list.

- Type the period in the following way:
- Type the first letter of the time unit you want to use (m for minutes, h for hours and d for days).
- Type the number of time units.
- Press ENTER.
Note: The number of time units must be a whole number from 1 to 40 for minutes, 1-36 for hours, and 1-20 for days. For example, to set a 2 minutes’ period, a 3 hours’ period or a 20 days’ period, you should type m2, h3 or d20 respectively.
Change Chart Mode
In Marketscope 2.0, the following chart modes are available:
- Line – a line chart is displayed;
- Bar – a bar chart is displayed;
- Candlestick – a candlestick chart is displayed;
- Table – chart data are displayed in a table in the following way:
- The date and time of the beginning of each period is displayed in the first column of the table.
- If the chart period is a tick, prices for each tick are displayed in another column.
- If the chart period is other than tick, Open, High, Low and Close prices for each period are displayed in other four columns respectively.
- If indicators are added to the chart, their values for each period are also displayed in columns after the price values.
Line Mode
To change the chart mode to the line mode, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Chart Mode arrow 

and then click Line. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Line.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Line.
- Press CTRL + ALT + L.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also change the chart mode to the line mode in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Line.
Marketscope 2.0 displays the lines on high and low prices by default.
To show/hide the high line, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click Chart Mode arrow 

and then click Show High Line. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Show High Line.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Show High Line.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also show/hide the high line the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Show High Line.
To show/hide the low line, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click Chart Mode arrow 

and then click Show Low Line. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Show Low Line.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Show Low Line.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also show/hide the low line the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Show Low Line.
You can change the options for the line mode. See Line Mode Options.
Bar Mode
To change the chart mode to the bar mode, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Chart Mode arrow 

and then click Bar. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Bar.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Bar.
- Press CTRL + ALT + B.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also change the chart mode to the bar mode in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Bar.
You can change the options for the bar mode. See Bar Mode Options.
Candlestick Mode
To change the chart mode to the candlestick mode, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Chart Mode arrow 

and then click Candlestick. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Candlestick.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Candlestick.
- Press CTRL + ALT + C.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also change the chart mode to the candlestick mode in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Candlestick.
You can change the options for the candlestick mode. See Candlestick Mode Options.
Table Mode
To change the chart mode to the table mode, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Chart Mode arrow 

and then click Table. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Table.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Table.
- Press CTRL + ALT + T.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also change the chart mode to the table mode in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Table.You can also switch from the table mode to any other chart mode by right-clicking in the table and selecting the chart mode.
You can change the options for the table mode. See Table Mode Options.
Show Ask/Bid
If the chart period is a tick, you can view both ask and bid prices simultaneously.
- To view ask prices, on the toolbar, click the Ask button.

- To view bid prices, on the toolbar, click the Bid button.

If the chart period is other than tick, you can view either ask or bid prices at a time.
- To switch from bid prices to ask prices, on the toolbar, click the Ask button.

- To switch from ask prices to bid prices, on the toolbar, click the Bid button.

Note: Marketscope 2.0 displays bid prices by default.
You can change the options for the ask/bid line charts. See Line Mode Options.
Show/Hide Cursor Data
You can view the data of the currently selected period in the Cursor Data window. The window can display the following data:
- The name of the chart;
- The prices for the selected period;
- Price overlays;
- Indicators and their values in the selected period;
- Lines;
- Pivot levels.

When you move around the chart or switch to another chart, the cursor data change immediately to display information about the period which is then currently selected.
You can show/hide the cursor data, as well as select which data to view.
To show/hide the cursor data, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Cursor Data button.

- In the Chart menu, click Show Cursor Data.
* In the FX Trading Station you can also show/hide the cursor data in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart and then click Show Cursor Data.
You can also hide the cursor data by right-clicking in the Cursor Data window and selecting Hide Cursor Data.
To show/hide some of the cursor data:
- Right-click in the Cursor Data window.
- Do one of the following:
- To show/hide the chart name, click Show Chart Name.
- To show/hide prices, click Show Prices.
- To show/hide price overlays, click Show Price Overlays.
- To show/hide indicators, click Show Indicators.
- To show/hide lines, click Show Lines.
- To show/hide pivot levels, click Show Pivot.
You can change the options for the cursor data. See Cursor Data Options.
Show/Hide Current Market Price
The current market price can be indicated on a chart by a horizontal line with a tag.
- If the ask chart is shown, the horizontal line indicates the level of the current ask price. The tag displays the current ask price.
- If the bid chart is shown, the horizontal line indicates the level of the current bid price. The tag displays the current bid price.
- If both ask and bid charts are shown (for tick periods), the two horizontal lines are displayed on the chart.
Note: If the current market price is out of the viewing area, the horizontal line and its tag are not visible. In this case the line can be accessed by means of scrolling and scaling. See Chart Navigation.
In Marketscope 2.0 the current market price is displayed by a tag (tags) on the price axis by default.
To show/hide the current market price:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.
The Options dialog will appear.
- Click Chart View Options.
- Change the options:
- To show the current market price by a tag (tags) on the price axis, in the list or options, click Show current market price and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
- To show the current market price line, in the list of options, click Show current market price line and set the option to Yes. Otherwise, set the option to No.
- Click OK.

You can change the options for the line and tag of the current market price. See Current Market Price Options.
Enable/Disable Dynamic Crosshair
You can use a dynamic crosshair when working with charts. The dynamic crosshair moves in real-time with the mouse pointer, which enables you to position the pointer more quickly and accurately on the chart.
To enable/disable a dynamic crosshair:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.
The Options dialog will appear.
- Click Chart View Options.
- In the list of options, click Enable dynamic crosshair and set the option to Yes. To disable the dynamic crosshair, set the option to No.
- Click OK.

You can change the options for the crosshair. See General Options.
Show/Hide Grid
Marketscope 2.0 displays the grid by default.
To hide the grid, do one of the following:
- In the Chart menu, click Show Grid.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, click Show Grid.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also hide the grid in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart and then click Show Grid.
To show the grid, do one of the above actions again.
You can change the options for the grid. See General Options.
Show/Hide Separator Scale
You can view labels indicating the beginning of a minute, hour, day, month or year on the separator scale above a chart. Marketscope 2.0 displays the separator scale by default.
To hide the separator scale:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.
The Options dialog will appear.
- Click Chart View Options.

- To hide the separator scale, click Show separator scale and set the option to No. Otherwise, set the option to Yes.
- Click OK.
You can also change the color of the separator scale pointers. See General Options.
Open Position Settings
You can set whether your open positions and net positions are displayed on the chart.
Show/Hide Open Position
An open position is indicated on a chart by a horizontal line with a label. The horizontal line indicates the price level the position was opened at. The label displays the trade operation (Long or Short), the date and time when the position was opened and the current profit/loss in pips.
Note: Time is shown only for positions which were opened during the last 12 hours.
If the price of the open position is out of the viewing area, a marker is displayed on the chart. By clicking the marker, you can view the line of the position.
To show/hide an open position:
- Do one of the following:
- In the Trading menu, click Open Position Settings.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Open Position Settings.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is also available in the Charts menu, in the Trading sub-menu.
- To show/hide the position, in the list of positions, select/clear the appropriate checkbox.
Note:
- If you want to show all open positions, click Select All.
- If you want to hide all open positions, click Clear All.
- Click OK.
The Open Position Settings dialog will appear.

You can show/hide all positions in the following way as well:
- Do one of the following:
- Go to the Trading menu.
- Right-click in the chart.
- To show/hide all open positions, click Show Open Positions.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also show/hide all open positions in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Trading and then click Show Open Positions.
Note: If you hide all positions, the stop/limit orders added to these positions will be hidden as well. You can change the options for an open position. See Position Options.
Show/Hide Net Position
A net position shows an average entry price of all open positions with the same trade operation and total profit/loss from all these positions in pips. So if you have more than one open position with the same trade operation, you can view a net position on the chart.
The net position is indicated on a chart by a horizontal line with a label. The label displays the type of the net position (Short or Long) and the total profit/loss in pips. If the price of the net position is out of the viewing area, a marker is displayed on the chart. By clicking the marker, you can view the line of the net position.
To show/hide a net position:
- To show/hide the net short position, in the Open Position Settings dialog, select/clear the Show net short position checkbox.
- To show/hide the net long position, in the Open Position Settings dialog, select/clear the Show net long position checkbox.
You can change the options for a net position. See Net Position Options.
Entry Order Settings
You can set whether your entry orders are displayed on the chart.
Show/Hide Entry Order
An entry order is indicated on a chart by a horizontal line with a label. The horizontal line indicates the price level the order was placed at. The label displays the trade operation (’B’ for Buy, ‘S’ for Sell), the date and time when the order was created.
Note: Time is shown only for orders which were created during the last 12 hours.
If the entry orders is linked to an OCO order, the right part of its label has the same color as all other orders linked to the OCO order. If the price of the entry order is out of the viewing area, a marker is displayed on the chart. By clicking the marker, you can view the line of the order.
To show/hide an entry order:
- Do one of the following:
- In the Trading menu, click Entry Order Settings.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Entry Order Settings.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is also available in the Charts menu, in the Trading sub-menu.
The Entry Order Settings dialog will appear.

- To show/hide the entry order, in the list of orders, select/clear the appropriate checkbox.
Note:
- If you want to show all entry orders, click Select All.
- If you want to hide all entry orders, click Clear All.
- Click OK.
You can show or hide all entry orders in the following way as well:
- Do one of the following:
- Go to the Trading menu.
- Right-click in the chart.
- To show/hide all entry order, click Show Entry Orders.
*In the FX Trading Station, you can also show/hide entry orders in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Trading and then click Show Entry Orders.
Note: If you hide all entry orders, the stop/limit orders added to these entry orders will be hidden as well. You can change the options for an entry order. See Entry Order Options.
Highlight Position/Order
When you point to a position or entry order, only the position or order, together with orders linked with it in an OCO order, which you point to are shown, while all the other positions and orders are hidden. In Marketscope the highlighting is turned on by default.
To turn off the highlighting:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the vertical or horizontal scale. In the pop-up menu, click Options.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Settings and then click Options.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the System menu.
The Options dialog will appear.
- Click Chart View Options.

- To turn off the highlighting, click Highlight order/position under mouse pointer and set the option to No. Otherwise, set the option to Yes.
- Click OK.
Chart Linking
Charts can be linked together. When charts are linked, you can change the symbol of these charts by changing the symbol of only one of the linked charts. This is useful when you use different periods for technical analysis, and want to change the symbol you are working with. All other settings such as period, time interval, chart type, etc. remain the same. Once you change the symbol in a linked chart, the whole MarketShots become shown on all of the linked charts. All indicators on these charts are recalculated, other chart elements (such as lines, Fibonacci, pivot levels and text labels) are removed.
You can link either all charts or only some of them.
To link all charts:
- On the toolbar of any chart, click the Link arrow
and then click LinkAll.
To link charts selectively:
- On the toolbar of each chart you want to link, click the Link arrow
and then click a color for the link (Red, Green, Blue or Yellow).
To unlink a chart:
- On the toolbar of the chart, click the Link arrow
and then click UnLink.
Price Overlaying
You can overlay a chart of some other symbol on your current chart or place it in a separate area below the chart. This is useful when you use different symbols for technical analysis and want to see their prices for the same time interval and period. On a chart you can overlay only the price of one symbol, and the price will be displayed by a line. Below a chart you can place a number of price overlays, and each overlay will be displayed by a chart of the same mode as the current chart.
Add Price Overlay
To overlay price:
- Do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Price Overlay button.

- In the Insert menu, click Price Overlay.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Elements and then click Price Overlay.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is avilable in the Charts menu, in the Insert sub-menu.
The Price Overlay dialog will appear.

- On the toolbar, click the Price Overlay button.
- Change the symbol settings in the Symbol tab if necessary:
- Select the symbol from the list.
- To view the price on the current chart, click Overlay on current price.
- To view the price overlay below the chart, click Display in separate area below current price.
- Change the parameters of the overlay in the Parameters tab if necessary.

- To show the legend, select the Show legend checkbox. Otherwise, clear the checkbox.
- To change the font color of the legend, select your color in the appropriate box.
- To show Open, High, Low or Close price, select the appropriate price in the Price box.
- To show bid or ask, click Bid or Ask.
For the price overlaid on the chart: - To show the line label, select the Show label checkbox. Otherwise, clear the checkbox.
- To change the price line style and color, select your style and color in the appropriate Line Style boxes.
For the price overlay displayed in a separate area below a line chart: - To change the color of the bid, ask, low and high line, select your colors in the appropriate color boxes.
For the price overlay displayed in a separate area below a bar chart: - To change the bar color, select your color in the Bar Color box.
For the price overlay displayed in a separate area below a candlestick chart: - To change the color of ascendind and descending candlesticks, select your colors in the appropriate color boxes.
- Click OK.
Change Price Overlay Properties
To change the properties a price overlay:
- Do one of the following:
- Double-click the price overlay.
- Right-click the price overlay. In the pop-up menu, click ‘Symbol’ Properties where ‘Symbol’ is the symbol the price of which is ovarlaid.
- See Change Properties/Remove Chart Elements.
The ‘Symbol’ Properties dialog will appear. (’Symbol’ is the symbol of the price overlay.)

- Change the properties you wish.
Notes:
- To apply the changed properties to all further price overlays by default, click Set as Default.
- To reset factory settings for the price overlay, click the Reset button.
- Click OK.
Remove Price Overlay
To remove a price overlay:
- Right-click the price overlay. In the pop-up menu click Remove.
- Click the price overlay and press DELETE.
- See Eraser Tool.
- See Change Properties/Remove Chart Elements.
Note that a price overlay displayed in a separate area is removed together with the area. You can also remove the area together with the price overlay by right-clicking in the area and selecting Remove Area. Moreover, by right-clicking in the area and selecting the appropriate commands, you can add indicators and other chart elements to this chart.
You can change the options for a price overlay. See Price Overlay Options.
Copy Data from Table
When MarketShot data are displayed in the table mode, the data can be copied.
To change the chart mode to the table mode, do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click the Chart Mode arrow 
and then click Table. - In the Chart menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Table.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Chart Mode and then click Table.
- Press CTRL + ALT + T.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can also change the chart mode to the table mode in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart, point to Chart Mode and then click Table.
Copy Data from Table
To copy all data from a table:
- Right-click in the table. In the pop-up menu click Copy All.
To copy selected rows from a table:
- Right-click in the table. In the pop-up menu click Copy Selected.
Update Prices
To update prices displayed on a chart, do one of the following:
- In the Chart menu, click Update.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, click Update.
- Press F5.
* In the FX Trading Station, you can update the prices in the following way:
In the Charts menu, point to Chart and then click Update.
Chart Template Operations
A chart template is a set of chart settings and elements which can be reused with new data. A chart template contains the following:
Chart settings:
- Symbol;
- Period;
- Time interval;
- Chart mode;
- Whether an ask and/or a bid chart is displayed;
- Link settings;
- Price overlays;
- Trading settings (show/hide orders/positions);
- Whether the grid is shown or hidden;
- Whether the locking view is enabled or disabled;
- Chart frame position and size.
Chart elements and their settings:
- Lines;
- Fibonacci;
- Pivot Levels;
- Indicators;
- Labels.
Save Chart Template
To save a chart template:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File and then click Save Chart As.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to File and then click Save Chart As.
- Press CTRL + S.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Save As dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the chart template.
- In the Save as type box, click Chart template.
- Click Save.
Note:
When you add new elements to a chart or change some elements, you can also save the chart as a template by clicking the Close button in the upper-right corner of a chart window.
In this case either the Confirm Saving dialog and then the Save As dialog will appear. You can change the options to view the Save As dialog at once or to close the chart without saving changes. See General Chart Options.
Open Chart Template
To open a chart template:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File and then click Open File.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to File and then click Open File.
- Press CTRL + O.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Open dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the chart template.
- In the Files of type box, click Chart template.
- Click Open.
Note: To open a chart template, you must be logged in.
Chart Snapshot Operations
A chart snapshot is a saved chart with all its settings, elements and MarketShot price data. A chart snapshot contains the following:
Chart settings:
- Symbol;
- Period;
- Time interval;
- Chart mode;
- Whether an ask and/or a bid chart is displayed;
- Link settings;
- Price overlays;
- Trading settings (show/hide orders/positions);
- Whether the grid is shown or hidden;
- Whether the locking view is enabled or disabled;
- Chart frame position and size.
Chart elements and their settings:
- Lines;
- Fibonacci;
- Pivot Levels;
- Indicators;
- Labels.
Save Chart Snapshot
To save a chart snapshot:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File and then click Save Chart As.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to File and then click Save Chart As.
- Press CTRL + S.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Save As dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the chart snapshot.
- In the Save as type box, click Chart snapshot.
- Click Save.
Note: When you add new elements to a chart or change some elements, you can also save the chart as a snapshot by clicking the Close button in the upper-right corner of a chart window. In this case either the Confirm Saving dialog and then the Save As dialog will appear. You can change the options to view the Save As dialog at once or to close the chart without saving changes. See General Chart Options.
Open Chart Snapshot
To open a chart snapshot:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File and then click Open File.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to File and then click Open File.
- Press CTRL + O.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Open dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the chart snapshot.
- In the Files of type box, click Chart snapshot.
- Click Open.
Chart Layout Operations
Chart layout is a set of charts the windows of which are arranged in a certain way.
Save a Chart Layout
Note: When you save a chart layout, you save a number of chart templates together.
To save a chart layout:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File and then click Save Layout As.
- Press CTRL + SHIFT + S.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Save As dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the chart layout.
- Click Save.
Open Chart Layout
To open a chart layout:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File and then click Open Layout.
- Press CTRL + SHIFT + O.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Open dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the chart layout.
- Click Open.
Note: To open a chart layout you must be logged in.
Export to Excel
To export data to Excel:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File, then point to Export and then click Export to Excel.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to File, then point to Export and then click Export to Excel.
- Press SHIFT + ALT + E.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Save As dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the export file.
- In the Save as type box, select XML(Excel) format or XLS(Excel) format.
- Click Save to export the data.
Print Chart
Print Chart
To print a chart:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Print.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Print and then click Print.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu.
The Print dialog will appear.

- Change the default settings if necessary.
- Click OK.
Setup Page Properties
To setup the page properties:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Page Setup.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Print and then click Page Setup.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available in the Charts menu.
The Page Setup dialog will appear.

- Change the default settings.
- Click OK.
Show Print Preview
To see the print preview, do one of the following:
- In the File menu, click Print Preview.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to Print and then click Print Preview.

The Print Preview dialog will appear.

Save Data for Indicore SDK
You can save chart price data as Indicore SDK data to use them for debugging your own indicators in Indicore SDK.
To save chart price data as Indicore SDK data:
- Do one of the following:
- In the File menu, point to File, and then click Save Chart As.
- Right-click in the chart. In the pop-up menu, point to File and then click Save Chart As.
- Press CTRL + S.
* In the FX Trading Station, the command is available, in the Charts menu, in the File sub-menu.
The Save As dialog will appear.

- In the File name box, enter the name of the file.
- In the Save as type box, click Indicore SDK data.
- Click Save.
Open Marketscope with Your Changes
When you you work in Marketscope – change layout, add or change charts, chart elements and price alerts – and then close the application, you can open Marketscope again with all your changes from the FX Trading Station.
To open Marketscope with your changes, do one of the following:
- In the FX Trading Station, in the Charts menu, click Open Marketscope.
- Press CTRL + M.
